The Primary Benefit of Barter and Trade in Reno

3/25/2012

The primary benefit of barter is cash savings.   Barter allows business owners to pay for what they need with what they have, allowing them to preserve their working capital for other expenses. When businesses use barter to purchase needed goods and services, they reduce their cash costs because they are paying for those goods and services with revenue generated by incremental barter sales.  Many of the services offered through barter, such as auto maintenance and repair, janitorial, marketing, and entertainment, are areas where they are already spending money.  Obtaining these overhead services through barter rather than writing out a check preserves cash on-hand.  Click Here for more about the benefits or bartering in Reno Nevada.

Western Trade Alliance Reno Trade and Barter Experts

Once people learn about WTA, they realize that by using barter they can obtain goods and services from a growing network of local businesses (and are not limited to bartering with only one company).  For example, a bookkeeping business can earn trade dollars doing bookkeeping work for a car repair business. The bookkeeper can then use trade dollars to purchase a gym membership; the gym owner can have new flooring installed; and the flooring company can have business cards printed. All of these transactions use trade dollars instead of cash.
When businesses use a formal bartering platform like WTA, they open up their business to potentially thousands of local, national and international businesses and potential customers. To make this happen, WTA has already signed more than 300 trading partners in northern Nevada alone. They are also networked with more than 10,000 businesses across the United States.  Click Here to learn more about how Reno trade works.

The first reaction people have when they hear of barter is usually, “Huh?” Maybe they think back to primitive early societies that didn’t use currency, or a simple transaction between two parties. They’re not entirely wrong. Barter, at its most basic and enduring level, is the exchange of goods and services between parties without the use of cash.  However, modern barter, as practiced by WTA, allows entrepreneurial business people get what they need, when they need it, by trading their spare capacity or inventory (what they do have) even if they don’t have cash on hand.  Click Here to learn more about barter and trade in Reno Nevada.
